Four people, two adults and two teenagers, stand in front of a "Business Department" sign and a blue banner.

Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School students earned Top 10 placements in New York State in their certification areas at the 2026 Microsoft Office Specialist State Championship Spring Qualifier and have been invited to compete at the National Championship in Nashville next month. The MOS certification is an industry-recognized credential backed by Microsoft that validates real-world skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other applications, demonstrating that students are prepared for success in today’s digital workplace.

Congratulations to the following students: Michael O’Neill, third place (Microsoft Word – Microsoft 365 Apps); Alicia Kong, sixth place (Microsoft PowerPoint – Microsoft 365 Apps); Jayden Iroth, ninth place (Microsoft Word – Microsoft 365 Apps); and William Triandafillou, 10th place (Microsoft PowerPoint – Microsoft 365 Apps).
